A few minute's drive north of Greenwood, Mississippi in the heart of cotton
country lies Forty Mile Bend. Once a swooping curve in the famed Tallahatchie
River, this oxbow lake nearly surrounds the fertile soil of Eutaw Plantation. It is
from this beautiful farmland that Carolyn Sturdivant, owner/artisan of Old House
Glass Works, draws inspiration to create her touching and original "works of
heart." The themes found in her stained
glass works are those she explores in real
life. Carolyn and her husband Tom spend
their time between the farm and their
Dauphin Island condo and the two
influences are readily visible in the stained
glass pieces she creates. From the Land
of Cotton to the sunny sands of the
gulfshore, you know that when you see
Carolyn's work, you're seeing a slice of
life through her eyes. The rich topsoil of
Forty Mile Bend grows much more than
cotton, corn and soy beans.
Contact
Carolyn and ask her about turning one of
your own inspirations into a heirloom
keepsake.
